Focaccia (Connie)

Ingredients:

  • 4 C flour

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast (1 packet)

  • 2 C warm tap water

  • 1 tsp sugar or honey

  • 1/4 C olive oil

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl the day before you need to make it.

Cover and place in the fridge.

Take the bowl out 2-3 hrs before baking.

Let it sit for 1 hr at room temperature.

The dough is sticky. Oil your hands and pour the dough into an oiled or parchment lined pan.

Spread the dough and poke holes in it an drizzle with olive oil.

Sprinkle with coarse salt, rosemary, oregano, garlic, or whatever toppings or herbs you might like

Let it sit for 1-2 hrs. The longer you leave it, it will rise and get really fluffy.

Bake at 450F for 25 min.

Remove from pan and let it cool
